WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY

“A picture is worth a thousand words.”

World Photography Day is celebrated on August 19 every year. The day focuses on the art, craft and science of photography. It celebrates how a picture captures the essence, emotion and mood of a moment in time. The first permanent photo of an object was captured by French Joseph Nicephore Niepce in 1826.

World Photography Day is a day whereby we pay tribute to the incredible art form that is photography. There are those personal photos that we all love and cherish, but there are also photos that tell a story. They tell us about significant periods in time or enable us to learn more about how

we evolve as a human being through the years. After all, they do say that a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

This year’s theme was based on Pandemic lockdown through the lens.

Lockdown Through The Lens explores how our lives have changed in the past 2 year during the Covid 19 pandemic. You have had different experiences sitting at home, enjoying heartful family moments, work related new events or simple in and around things that fascinated you in the neighborhood.

In LiftOff, we had organized a contest to click pictures and share in our Google current page in order to share each and every moment that everyone has shared in their day to day life. Here are a couple of pictures that have been put up by our team.
